Beloved Flagstaff author/photographer George Breed’s photo journal Walking Flagstaff has been reprinted with 14 new pages of photos and a new Afterword, just in time for his 85th birthday!
Join us to celebrate George and his quirky vision of our community at a party that welcomes all Fans of George.

- What: A community party to celebrate George Breed’s 85th birthday
- Who: If you’re a fan of Flagstaff, photography, or George Breed, you’re invited!
- When: June 24, 2023, 1 pm to 3 pm
- Where: Downtown Library, 300 W. Aspen, Flagstaff, AZ 86001
- Why: Because Flagstaff is awesome!
What can you expect?
1: A short program showcasing George and his Flagstaff photos. Did you know George has been a US Marine, psychologist, hog farmer, and martial artist? Speakers include his son, Phil Breed; his publisher, Julie Hammonds; and emcee/celebrant Pam Joralmon Packard. George himself will also speak! Don’t miss it.
2: We will show photos from George’s book Walking Flagstaff. The newly reprinted book and some of his prints will be available for sale. We’ve set a goal of selling 85 books in June:
