Abdi Abdirahman will be in Pittsburgh and meet his fans at the expo for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon.
Abdi, known for his love of the hometown Steelers, will be signing copies of his book “Abdi’s World: The Black Cactus on Life, Running, and Fun” from 4:30–6 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at the expo inside the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
Abdi will join a talented pro field in the half marathon and thousands of others for a full slate of races on Sunday.
“It has been a dream of mine to race in Pittsburgh,” Abdi said. “It will be my first time in the city, and I am a big Steelers fan. I am looking forward to running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon. Training has been going great leading to this race, and I am excited to test my fitness.”
